I studied Philosophy at the University of Trento. My undergraduate career gave me the opportunity to develop a keen interest on linguistic phenomena, which I addressed from different perspectives, such as logical, theoretical and computational ones. After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree, I decided to deepen this subject matter and I enrolled in the Language and Multimodal Interaction program offered by the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC) at the University of Trento. I am currently a 2nd year Master student there.
For a few months, I will be doing my internship at FBK under the supervision of Dr.Carlo Strapparava. The aim of my stay here is to shed light on the fascinating mechanism of figurative language, with a focus on hyperboles. In particular, my work analyzes the semantics underlying hyperboles in order to automate their identification.
