Fabio Rinaldi

Fabio Rinaldi is a senior researcher at the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA), in Lugano, Switzerland, where he is the leader of the NLP group. Before that he was lecturer and senior researcher at the University of Zurich, where he initiated and coordinated the OntoGene group, focusing on Text Mining for biomedical applications.

His relationship with FBK dates back to 1993-1996 when he was an affiliate student in the group of Oliviero Stock, working on a dissertation on Knowledge Representation for Natural Language Processing. From 2016 to 2019 he was a part-time researcher at FBK within the scope of a joint project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Currently he maintains the status of a visiting fellow.
