Ornella Colpani is a medical biotechnologist. From 2015 to 2018 she worked on research
in the field of stem cell-based therapy for chronic kidney disease, with partial support by
the EU FP7 STELLAR project. In 2018, she took part in studies on vascular biology in
frailty syndrome -supported by Cariplo foundation- and diabetes. Since October 2019, she
is a PhD student co-hosted by FBK and the University of Milan. Her research project is
focused on machine learning applications to cardiovascular risk prediction, with a
particular focus on personalized medicine.
