He is co-head of Digital Finance Innovation Lab (DFIL), a joint innovation endeavour with GFT/Italy (1st place for ‘Best Fintech Partnership’, Financial Innovation Awards by The London Institute of Banking & Finance). Furthermore, he is co-head of the joint innovation lab with TECNOPUC/Brazil (1st Technology Park in Brazil by Anprotec). Previously, he was the co-founder and Program Manager of the High Impact Initiative in Smart Retail at the EIT Digital, focusing on research, innovation, start-up creation and business development.


He has around 20 years of experience in innovation management, technology transfer and business development of ICT. His career focus has been on developing research and innovation collaborations with universities, research institutions, large companies, and start-ups. He has a proven track record in fundraising, developing and managing strategic projects in the domains of smart cities, smart retail and digital finance, working in collaboration with several organizations in Brazil, Italy, Finland, the UK, the US, Germany, and France. His considerable international experience with strong track records in leading complex organizations, and negotiating with multiple stakeholders is a key competitive advantage, while his work in startup creation and fundraising from public and private sources is a differential.

An academic background in Electronics and Computer Engineering (BEng) from PUCRS/Brazil, Enterprise Management (MBA) from IBGEN/Brazil and Innovation Management (PhD) from Politecnico di Milano/Italy completes his profile.
