Internship on Deep Learning and Natural Language Generation for e-commerce

The Human Language Technology (HLT) group is happy to announce the availability of an internship for MA/MS students. We look for candidates to be involved in a cutting-edge NLP research project FBK is running for a global e-commerce player.

The project is at the cross-road of several fields: language generation, summarisation, information extraction, machine translation, just to mention a few. To move in this direction, several skills are needed: the ability to work with advanced machine learning algorithms, deep learning, the ability to formalise knowledge and to handle huge amounts of textual information coming from diverse sources. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work in an international research team.

This internship might be extended, continuing as a PhD starting in fall 2017 if the project is successful.

6 months (starting at your earliest convenience, preferred January/February)

– Background in NLP
– Background in machine learning
– Good knowledge of Deep Neural Network frameworks
– Good programming skills

Financial Support
For the accepted candidate we will cover:
– Travel expenses to/from Trento (limited contribution)
– Local transportation between Trento-FBK
– Lodging at the university campus
– Free lunches at FBK’s canteen (Monday-Friday)
– Reimbursement of other food expenses (limited contribution)
